By that we mean:
Apologies, we have not been updating the blog. we didn't have internet/laptop access and were busy travelling where even cell phone reception is sometimes dubious. soooo.. what's the point of this blog?? WELLL, now we're back in dar! and consolidating photos and its time for an update!
Currently, everyone is assigned a task-- we have just arrive back in the house after our last day (together) of gallivanting ::big sad face:: and are all industriously hard at work, after having been assigned tasks: Su-anne is measuring Wamama Kahawa coffee into bags, TY and Qihui are in the kitchen chopping veggies/marinating meat for tonight's barbeque, Li Ling is editing photos, I (Wanlin) am updating the blog, and Rebec is managing all of us (She should be the one getting the MBA!).
We are all lamenting that the 4 of them are leaving tomorrow morning :(
and in Qihui's (witty) words, Sian Sana. (Translation: sian is chinese/singlish for ahhhh don't want to do this (among other possible meanings) and sana is swahili for very much, learnt in the context of "asante sana" aka thank you very much)
But we digress.. we haven't even talked about our adventure! we had a post about the start, we have a post about the almost end, but NOTHING IN BETWEEN!!! so here we go..
First, a "map" (aka location-line.. kinda like a timeline but not sure if there's actually a term created for locations..) summary of the places we've been to:
Day 1 (which was pushed by back a day because of their flight delay!) Dar --> 2. Lushoto --> 3. Arusha --> 4. Ngorogoro (Safari) --> 5. Terengerei (Safari) --> 6. Arusha --> 7. Zanzibar Mtemwe beach --> 8-9. Zanzibar Stonetown --> 10-13. Back to Dar!
It was a very intense/hardworking itinerary, with many early mornings when we were up even before the sun, but also tapered off into no-agenda beach lounging time, 10 am wake ups back in Dar, nuahing (singlish for very lazy/lethargic slouching into couches/doing nothing) and eating every thing we can get our hands on.
Because of our procrastination in updating, its going to be difficult to provide too detailed prose description, so we're going to do a photo journal style update!
Stay tuned for the next post..
